I have a BSc in Biology and PhD in Ecology, both from the Universidad de Oviedo. I was a MEC FPI research fellow at the Universidad de Oviedo (1992-1996), and Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow at Plymouth Marine Laboratory (1998-2000) and Universidad de Vigo (2000-2001). During 2006-2007 I was Deputy Director of Environmental Research at Xunta de Galicia. From 2002 I am lecturing Ecology, Biogeochemistry and Oceanography at the Universidad de Vigo.
